We are looking for an amazing Engagement Lead to join our growing team. This is a terrific opportunity with a progressive company, dedicated to providing growers with the tools and knowledge required to increase profitability of their farm business. We use a combination of industry expertise and cutting-edge technologies to help our clients make better decisions about precision Agronomics, variable rate technology, soil fertility, crop marketing, risk management, data management and carbon credits.

Primary Purpose of Position:

The Marketing Engagement Lead is responsible for Decisive Farming’s engagement project and strategies, including the overall ownership of company and customer events. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the capability to ‘think like a customer,’ is crucial.  In your role, you will be striving to keep customers engaged by developing, implementing and measuring the success of innovative strategies. 

Duties and Responsibilities:                 

  • Identify, develop, and implement meaningful events and engagement strategies, based upon Decisive Farming’s objectives.
  • Work closely with the Digital Marketing Lead to craft and deliver consistent branding and communication.
  • Working closely with Sales Management; formulate, direct and coordinate engagement activities to promote products and services
  • Tracking detailed customer engagement analytics and ROI’s and provide recommendations based upon metrics.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and distributors, primarily surrounding events.
  • Adhere to engagement financial objectives by forecasting requirements, assisting in annual budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.
  • Keep promotional materials ready by coordinating requirements with sales team, inventorying stock, placing orders and verifying receipt.
  • Outlines and executes strategies for meetings and trade shows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements, establishing contacts, developing schedules and assignments and coordinating mailing lists with the Digital Marketing Lead.

Knowledge and Skill

  • Must have Agricultural Marketing experience, specifically direct marketing to Farmers.
  • 3+ years of full cycle event strategy from a customer engagement perspective.
  • 3+ years of full-cycle Marketing experience including creating and delivering communication.
  • Strong computer and software skills i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Outlook, and Wiki
  • Ability to run analytics from raw data and derive and communicate meaningful insights.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Extremely detailed oriented
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize work flow
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties.
  • Very strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to exercise good judgement, show initiative and be proactive
  • High standards of ethics and confidentiality to handle sensitive information

Special Requirements

  • Some overtime will be required depending on the season and the projects involved
  • Ability to work flexible hours to conduct interviews outside of regular business hours
